How it works

The Process

From first message to finished images, here is what working together looks like.

  1. The Vision

Tell me about the place, the mood and what the images are for, whether that is a print for the wall, a business, or simply a view you love. This first chat shapes everything that follows.

  2. Planning & Location

I scout the location, study the light and watch the weather windows. Airspace and landowner permissions are checked before anything leaves the ground.

  3. The Shoot

Most of the magic happens around sunrise and sunset, when the mist, colour and shadows are at their best. If conditions are not right, we simply wait for a better day.

  4. Edit & Select

Every frame is reviewed, then the strongest are carefully graded and finished so the set feels cohesive and true to what it felt like to be there.

  5. Delivery

Your final images arrive ready to use, as high-resolution files for web and print, with prints and framing available if you would like something to hang.

On the day

The Timeline

A typical sunrise shoot. Times shift with the season and the forecast.

  • 4:30am

    Go / no-go

Final check of wind, cloud and mist forecasts. If it is not looking right, we reschedule.

  • 5:15am

    On the road

Batteries charged, cards cleared and the drone packed, heading for the location in the dark.

  • 5:45am

    Set up

Walk the site, confirm the airspace is clear and plan the flight paths before the light arrives.

  • 6:15am

    First light

Launch and capture the wide, atmospheric frames as the landscape begins to glow.

  • 6:45am

    Golden hour

The main event: low warm light, long shadows, reflections and drifting mist.

  • 8:00am

    Pack down

Back the cards up on site, pack away and head home with the shots safely stored.

  • Later

    Review & edit

Sift through the day's frames and begin the edit.
